It was raining that day when we walked together,
And now the sound of raindrops make me remember,
How time stood still for that one moment,
How I realized what it meant.
I never really noticed how you felt for me,
Painful heartaches made me too blind to see.
That one moment somehow opened my eyes,
Got rid of my fears of heartbreak and lies.
You were the one I turned to when love wasn’t fair,
And that moment helped me see how much you truly cared.
I could trust you with my heart this much I knew,
Because I saw something different when I looked at you.
You could heal my heart and make it whole again,
And you always do even way back then.
I’m glad that moment was yours and mine,
That moment I saw true love for the first time…

Those lines are so cool
for the first time
it’s like you were trapped and couldn’t see love
and then when that person came,
you were free and could see love for the very first time
