Lost then Found
You find yourself lost and alone,
Looking for a place to call your own.
As you search and try to find a brighter day,
You realize that pieces of you were lost along the way.
You look in the mirror and see who you don’t want to see,
A stranger looks back at you, someone you never thought you’d be.
Once you were lost, now you’ve lost who you are,
Stuck in a moonless night, a darkness without a single star.
But still you find a reason to go out and live your routine life,
Hanging out with friends, being alone, overcoming strife.
You slowly become aware that you’re smiling more and more,
Pieces once lost are right back where they were before.

Hi, I really like your poem! Could you please provide me your full name so that I can quote it? I intend to use this poem in one of my artworks, if you don’t mind.
